Hi everyone, Mingalabar! I'm Hnin Azali Brenda, a Year 4 ASEAN undergraduate scholar from National University of Singapore, studying Information Systems and Economics double degree, specialising in Digital Product and Platform Management. I'm also part of the NUS University Scholars' Program, now known as NUS College, which is offers an interdisciplinary Honors program.

I came to Singapore 8 years ago on MOE ASEAN scholarship from Myanmar, from my comfort zone in a little sheltered lake into a sea of never-ending learning opportunities. Since then, I have always kept swimming (and hustling) to seek many new experiences and challenges that I can learn and grow from.

Professionally...

I have experience in various Tech x Business roles which is where my interests lie. I have done internships in Product Management, Operations Analytics, Automation, Enterprise Solutions, Sales and Partner Management roles. I am currently part of the STAR rotational internship programme at SAP, where I get to work in different business functions every 6 months. I am an aspiring Product Manager as I really love working with developers, designers, marketers, users....people from different disciplines, skillsets and perspectives. I have gathered more than 1.5 years of experience in Product Management, through my internship at Workato, my volunteering work as the Head of Technology (Product & Strategy) at Bridges for Enterprise, and as the Head of Product at Developers Students Club NUS.

I have a track record of leading new initiatives from scratch and establishing effective structures in fast-growing organisations. My strengths and competencies include creative problem-solving, connecting the dots, people-centricity, adaptability and strategic planning to deliver effective results. I am able to bring fresh ideas and expertise in entrepreneurial endeavours, interdisciplinary discussions, cross culture initiatives and organisational management.

I enjoy working in environments where I can always grow personally, professionally and intellectually, as well as create positive impact in the organisation & communities Iā€™m part of.

More fun stuff...

In my 'free time', I love to volunteer for non-profit organisations, and have worked with charities like Bridges for Enterprise, Food Bank Singapore and Children's Wishing Well to build their internal operations management systems and client-facing web applications. I also have a keen interest in connecting passionate youths and creating empowerment opportunities. Ā In line with my passion for service and empowerment, I have served as the Chapter Manager at The Young SEAkers and started new initiatives including a youth volunteering organisation called STEPS Volunteers, an overseas community involvement project called NUS Project Mandalay and the Myanmar Community at NUS.

In my actual free time, I enjoy reading, cycling, singing on the karaoke app Smule and listening to songs from different languages (my Spotify playlist has songs from English, Chinese, Burmese, Korean, Japanese, Malay, Indonesia, Spanish, and counting...)
